A new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found 58% of pools in Atlanta tested positive for E. Coli, but the Guilford County Department of Public Health told News 2 viewers to fear not, chlorine in pools kills most E. Coli if it makes it's way into the pool.

Researchers with the CDC said, "this signifies that swimmers introduced fecal material into pool water," through toddlers or by not showing before getting into the pool.

There is an easy way to spot if a pool is clean enough to enter according to Shelby McLean with the Guilford County Department of Public Health, just look to see if it is clear or cloudy.

McLean offered many other tips for staying safe and clean in a pool this summer. Watch the full interview in the video.
