Don't talk to strangers. Don't get in a car with someone you don't know. Don't leave my sight. These are warnings you tell your kids time and time again, but sometimes the words don't get through.

You see that with the cases of the three missing women held against their will for nearly ten years. Amber Alert says a child goes missing every 40 seconds in our country, more than 700,000 kids disappear every year,  and there are 39 open cases of missing children.

A program called "Take 25 child safety campaign" is helping parents start a dialogue with their children. Experts will be in Thomasville to share their advice for families on "stranger danger." The event is free and if you would like to attend it is from 5-8p.m. at 201 James Avenue in Thomasville.
