Greensboro, NC -- The community is coming together to make one mother's weekend unforgettable.
Tennis players will be hitting the court to help raise money for one local pastor.
Pastor Susan Norman Vickers has stage four breast cancer. But she has not allowed her diagnosis to stop her from leading her congregation at Christ United Methodist Church in Greensboro.
Robin McPherson and Karen Foster helped organize the event. They spoke to WFMY News 2's Faith Abubey and Ed Matthews about details of the benefit.
Also, check out the interview with Pastor Vickers and her friend, Anne Dooley.
You can still help out and show your support for the pastor Saturday. There are barbecue dinners still available to buy.
It's $10 a person and $5 per child.
You can eat-in or grab it to go from 5:30 to 8 pm. You can watch the tennis tournament at 4:30 pm at the Green Valley Tennis Club.
