Recipes: Sunset Roll and Agedashi Tofu

Taste Of Asia Restaurant joined Weekend Good Morning Show hosts Faith Abubey and Ed Matthews to share recipes for Agedashi Tofu, Sunset Roll and complementary sauces.

Agedashi Tofu
Ingredients:
Japanese (firm) tofu
1 tsp of daikon radish and 2tsp of ginger Bonito flake Corn flour
Sauce:
4cup water
1cup soy sauce
1/2 Mirin
Side note: if you do not have Mirin, you can substitute it with sugar instead. You have to cook the sauce. After you have cooked the sauce add grated daikon radish and ginger.

Sunset roll
Ingredients:
Crab
Avocado
Cucumber
Seaweed paper
Sesame seed
Mango
Kiwi
Botan calrose rice

Tropical Sweet Sauce:
2 tbsp of mayo
1/2 tsp of vinegar sauce
2 tsp of sugar
1 tsp of orange juice
2 tsp of sweetened condensed milk

Rice Vinegar Sauce:
1 cup of salt
6 cup of sugar
8 cup of vinegar sauce

Side note: If you prefer it to be sweeter; you can add more sugar. If you prefer it to be saltier; you can add more salt. If you want the sauce to be more tasty add slice ginger and lemon. Leave the sauce alone for about 3-4 hours so it can marinate.
