I don't know a mom who wouldn't want a mother-daughter date checking out the hottest new trends for the upcoming fashion season. If this sounds like a fun time for you, I've got the perfect event happening this Sunday. The best part - this fashion show is full of heart.
Cheryl Hancock, Senior Vice President for Newbridge Bank is the brains behind the "In Our Daughters' Eyes" event. She started this to create a dialogue about heart health from mothers to daughters. One in every three women will die from heart disease, and a way to prevent this from happening is by educating our youth.
The "In Our Daughters' Eyes" event is from 3-5 p.m. at the Carolina Theatre (310 South Greene St. in downtown Greensboro). You can expect to see the latest 2013 fashions for girls and women from Macy's, plus a heart health expo featuring fitness and nutrition tips from the American Heart Association, Kernersville Medical Center, and Fitness Together.
If you want to check it out, tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students. Children younger than four get in free. Proceeds will go to the Guilford County Go Red For Women campaign. For reservations, call Ruth Darling Heyd at 707-3134 or email her at Ruth.Heyd@heart.org.
