Saturday Is Chris Paul Day At Wake Forest University, Ceremony Planned To Retire Jersey

Winston-Salem, NC -- Wake Forest University will retire NBA star Chris Paul's no. 3 jersey on Saturday. They plan to honor Paul, who's known to give back to his community, during the game against Maryland. The first 10,000 fans will get a free t-shirt compliments of Brand Jordan.

Mike Odom, Assistant Athletic Director at Wake Forest University, stopped by WFMY News 2's Good Morning Show to talk about the upcoming Chris Paul Day.

It will all start with a breakfast to honor Paul on Saturday, March 2 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. It will be held at the Grand Pavilion at the Embassy Suites Hotel located at                        460 North Cherry Street in Winston-Salem. The breakfast is open to you and costs $100 per person. The proceeds will benefit Paul's organization called the CP3 Foundation. Tipoff for the Wake Forest University vs. Maryland game is at noon on Saturday, March 2 at the LJVM Coliseum in Winston-Salem. They will retire Paul's jersey at halftime. You can get tickets to the game at or by calling the Wake Forest Ticket Office at (336)758-3322.
