Greensboro, NC -- Now that your students are applying and getting accepted into colleges, a local group wants to help you find the most affordable options for paying for college.
Starting Monday, College Funding Innovations will host seminars to help parents learn about how and when to apply for financial.
January is the first month to apply for aid for the 2013-2014 school year. And, CFI says the earlier you apply, the better your chances of getting a good financial aid package.
"It's crucial that parents learn how to correctly complete the applications this month," said CFI Owner Pat Fehlig. "I will be holding three informational workshops in January to help parents ge the most of their federal aid applications."
CFI will host a seminar Monday, Jan. 28 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the RE-Max Building at 204 Muirs Chapel Road, Ste. 100 in Greensboro.
The group will host more seminars in February.
And these seminars come just in time, as CFI says college is more expensive than ever. In fact, the price of college has risen by 1100 percent since 1978.
If you're interested in attending one of the seminars, you must make a reservation by calling 336-790-7148 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Space is limited.
