Greensboro, NC -- Guilford County Sheriff BJ Barnes stopped by the Good Morning Show Tuesday to talk about how it's going with his department enforcing the new sweepstakes ban in North Carolina.
The law took effect in the state at the beginning of the year, but the Guilford County Sheriff's Office waited to enforce it until getting further clarification about it. They started enforcement Monday.
Sheriff Barnes said they're finding most businesses are complying and have shut down. He said if they do find businesses not following the law, they will first get a warning.
