High Point, NC - If you are looking for ways to give back in 2013, consider mentoring for a child.
It is needed in the Triad, it doesn't take much time, and it is enormously impactful on children's lives.
Communities in Schools (CIS), based in High Point, partners mentors with students, and Catherine Niebauer, Volunteer Coordinator with CIS, told News 2's Patrick Phillippi there are always more students in need than there are volunteers.
On CIS's main goals is to help children with reading, and with at least 200 hundred children below reading level in High Point public schools alone, according to CIS, the need today is greater than ever.
