Greensboro, NC - No one wants to be *that* person at the holiday office party. You know the one! The person in tight clothes, drinking and carrying on!
Sindy Martin an etiquette coach and owner of Smartin-Up Your Professionalism joined us Wednesday on the Good Morning Show with some ways to be the fun, not the lush of the holiday party.
"Don't wear costumes, because your boss might think you're silly," said Martin. She says wearing things like reindeer noses and antlers aren't funny to everybody. And don't wear dresses that are too tight or sexy. "You might turn somebody off," said Martin.
When it comes to food and drink, Martin says not to overload your plate with food. Get just enough to snack on and go back for more if you need it.
And you shouldn't drink more than two glasses of wine at your holiday office party. Each glass should only contain four ounces. "It can really sneak up on you. You think you've had two glasses when you've really had four," said Martin.
Lastly, avoid drinking beer out of a bottle because it's considered rude. Martin says the rule applies to both males and females.
