The GMS Crew has been sharing their favorite holiday traditions all week, and for Jackie's tradition she's cooking in the News 2 kitchen. She's revealing her mom's secret ingredient in her "Corn and Peas" recipe. Some of you might call this "Succotash" but Jackie's family calls it delicious.
If you want to try this recipe, here's what you'll need for a family of four.
- Four cans of Green Giant corn (it must be Green Giant!)
- A small bag of frozen peas
- Half a stick of butter
- Salt and Pepper
- Pour the cans of corn and peas into a pot, bring this to a boil. Add 2 parts corn to 1 part peas. Then add half the stick of butter, you can add more to your liking. After the butter has melted add salt and pepper and you're good to go. Enjoy!
