Greensboro, NC - It happens every year! Fall comes, colder weather arrives and your diet is ruined. With all those comfort foods, a diet is definitely hard to keep during the holiday season.
It's not unusual for the average person to gain anywhere from 5 to 10 pounds from Halloween until the New Year. But starting a Winter Workout program can help.
Personal Trainer April Hartsook joined News 2's Tracey McCain Tuesday on the Good Morning Show to highlight some of the exercises in the program.
April's motto is "Want Different, Do Different!" She says the only way to get results is to move your body, even if it's just 15 minutes a day and you can do it right at home.
"A body weight squat uses the same leg muscles as with machines, except that muscles from your core to your toes are engaged as you work to stay balanced and upright. You'll gain more strength, and not have to worry about waiting in line for equipment," says April.
