North Carolina-- Monday, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction announced the 2012-13 United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) policy for free and reduced-price meals for school children.
The qualifications include all children enrolled in the state's public schools. The program's goal is to help ensure that all students have access to nutritious meals while in school.
The guidelines are based on household size and income.
