Greensboro, NC -- If you've gone out to dinner any of the past few Saturday nights, chances are you may have seen teens all dressed up! That's because prom season is here.

For the past two decades, one local organization has made it their mission to keep local students safe. Safe Sober Prom Night started 22 years ago. Students sign a pledge promising not to drink or do drugs on prom night and get a free t-shirt in exchange.

David Daggett, Safe Sober Prom Night Founder and Managing Partner Daggett Shuler Attorneys said things have changed over the years. "22 years ago when I first started doing this, you had to go grab each student one at a time and go walk them to the table to sign their name. [...] It's caught on. The positive peer pressure is contagious, and its motivating for these young people."

Daggett says over a six-week period, the program is in nearly 40 schools in eight counties across the Triad.
