Cherokee, NC-- The gaming compact between the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the state of North Carolina is resulting in a hiring frenzy at Harrah's Cherokee Casino & Hotel.

The casino will host job fairs on Wednesday and July 25 to fill hundreds of positions.

The casino and hotel, owned and operated by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation and managed by Caesar's Entertainment Corp., is hiring more than 500 full- and part-time positions in various career fields for its entertainment and resort facility, a release announced late last week.

The compact allows for traditional table games as early as September.

In addition to experienced table game dealers and supervisors, Harrah's Cherokee will offer paid training for inexperienced table game dealers and supervisors. The casino will also be hiring support service positions such as valet, housekeeping, security officers and beverage servers/bartenders.
