Fresno, California-- Fresno police were puzzled early Wednesday morning when they were called to a car parked on top of an apartment building.
One officer said he hadn't seen anything like this in his 22 years on the force.
Investigators are still trying to figure out how it got on top of the building, but here's their best guess. The driver was speeding in foggy conditions, missed a sharp turn, hit a curb and some large rocks which sent it flying into the air and onto the roof.
A family was inside the apartment at the time, but no one was hurt. That is, aside from the driver of the car who ran from the crash scene with a broken leg. Police found him a quarter of a mile away.
Police aren't sure yet if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
