The Signature Chef's Auction is Thursday, November 4th. One of the chefs, Brad Semon shared his experience with the auction and how the money raised goes a long way each year. He also prepared a breakfast recipe on the Saturday Good Morning show.

Sweet Potato Pancakes With Maple Glazed Apples Recipe

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
1/3 cup melted vegetable shortening
2/3 stick melted butter

Directions:

1 sweet potato (shredded then toss into boiling water immediately drain and dry potatoes before adding to wet ingredients

Mix all dry ingredients together. Mix all wet ingredients together. In a heated skillet, pour amount of the size of pancakes you prefer. This makes approximately 10 medium sized pancakes

Direction for the Maple Glazed Apples
2 apples sliced. Sautéed with little butter and real maple syrup. Serve warm over pancakes.
