GREENSBORO, N.C. --  Customers will find more than just a variety of coffee at Beans Boro Coffeehouse in Greensboro.

They'll also find freshly roasted beans.

"Roasting gives you that extra quality to it. You know if you get it right out of the roaster, it makes a huge difference.  It's so much brighter, so much crisper, so complex.  It makes it that much better," explains owner Kyle Burge.

Roasting coffee beans from countries such as Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Bolivia is a time consuming process.  Each particular type of bean requires a different roasting time and temperature.  Since all the roasting takes place at the coffee shop, customers can watch the process.

Burge's desire to roast his own coffee had humble beginnings.  "Back in 2009 in my parent's bedroom, I stared a small tabletop roaster.  A little two-pounder.  I've been roasting ever since," says Burge.

Beans Boro uses only organic, fair trade coffee.  The business is not only about quality.  It's a true passion.

"I love coffee. For me, it's not work.  It's not a job.  It's fun," exclaims Burge.

Beans Boro is located at 2604 A Horse Pen Creek Road in Greensboro, in the Harris Teeter shopping Center.  The website is www.beansboro.com
