Hi, I'm Cinnamon! I'm an 8 year-old, 14 pound doxie mix with the cutest ears that stick straight up. I ended up in a shelter after my owner passed away and no family member would take me home to live with them. It was so hard for me, losing my owner and everything, but my foster mom has been really nice to me and I'm starting to come out of my shell.

Here are two things you should know about me: 1) I love to be outside! In fact, I really only want in when it is raining or super-duper hot. Late at night when my foster mom's house is very quiet, I like to saunter in through the doggy door for some special one-on-one time. And 2) I hate it when the pupperazzi follows me around with that flashy box trying to snap a photo of my beautiful self! That picture of me up there is all I'll allow in the way of portraits (a girl must have some privacy these days).

What I really want and need is a loving, calm home with a fenced-in yard and lots of shade so I can hang out outdoors. I'm a friendly girl once you get to know me, but you gotta understand - I lost my beloved owner and it's going to take some time before I can get over that kind of sadness. I need someone to teach me to love again after losing my family and home. A great way to start is by giving me belly rubs, because I love those!

Right now I'm finishing up a 30-day course of medicine; my foster mom says it is for Ehrlichia, which is a fancy way to say I got an infection from a brown dog tick (she also says the infection can't be transmitted to humans). I should be all better from the bite really soon, and other than that I'm a healthy pup - spayed, fully vetted and all ready to go to my new home.
