The Greensboro Urban Ministry shelves are now full thanks to a fall food drive.

Greensboro, NC -- Thanks to heroes like you, the shelves are now full at the Greensboro Urban Ministry.

The once empty warehouse is now home to so much food you can't even get to the shelves! Leadership Greensboro Seniors held two food drives over the past few weeks. The Triad community donated a total of 71,000 pounds of food over just three days!

Juanita Forsyth, Leadership Greensboro Seniors said the drive encouraged her to see people's generosity in today's tough economy. "It's really amazing that people see others in need that they still help out and they buy, you know buy groceries to help out."

We're told those donations will help thousands of needy families who turn to the Urban Ministry this fall and winter.
