11-Year-Old Matthew Olive gives back to the sanctuary house.

Greensboro, NC --His peers are calling him a hero after they say an 11-year-old boy gave back in a big way.

Matthew Olive is a volunteer at Sanctuary House.

The non profit group is a social integration program for mentally challenged adults.

Olive said he views the members of Sanctuary House as his friends and decided to help them even more.

On his own, Olive saved his allowance money and collected donations.

The 6th grader raised $650 to take 30 Sanctuary House members with him to a Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game.

"I just love to see everybody else that's having fun too. Not just one person, but everybody," said Olive

Olive also set aside some of his raised money to buy his friends at Sanctuary House Grasshoppers souvenirs from the gift shop after the game.

Olive and the members will attend the Grasshoppers game on Monday afternoon at 12:30.
