WENWORTH, N.C. -- Each year during the holidays, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office partners with the Eden YMCA and local schools and groups for the Empty Stocking Fund.
This Friday, the Sheriff's Office says they were able to unload two truck loads of toys to deliver to children in the community.
Chief Deputy Abner Bullins says he has led the project for almost ten years and says the Sheriff's Office is very appreciative of the support from the community for making the toy drive a success. He told WFMY News 2 he would like to give a special "Thank you" to students at McMichael High School, the National Guard Armory in Wentworth, and the staff of Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.
