HIGH POINT, N.C. -- 'Tis the season for giving!

With the holidays just around the corner, High Point Regional invited those who have lost loved ones to cancer and cancer survivors to a candlelight ceremony Thursday night.

The ceremony is held every year and concludes with an opportunity for those who make a contribution of any amount to light the LoveLine Tree of Life.

Each light on the tree represents a loved one or a caregiver of someone affected by cancer.

The LoveLine Cancer Support Program provides financial assistance to cancer patients that are in need. The funds are used to help with medication, medical supplies, and  housing.

High Point Regional says the LoveLine program is accepting donations through December 31. Anyone who would like to contribute can contact April Carty at (336) 878-6293 or go online.
