GREENSBORO, N.C. -- It's Wednesday at noon and 4,000 middle school students are nowhere near a classroom, but they learned a lesson in fundamentals and skills.
On Wednesday, students from 14 Guilford County schools had the chance to go to UNCG's basketball game at the Greensboro Coliseum. It was for the inaugural Guilford County Schools Education Day.
The UNGC athletic department used the game to illustrate concepts students are learning about, like algebra. Each student got a workbook and had the chance to attend an education fair to learn about college life.
