HIGH POINT, N.C. --Some families in the Triad will have a delicious Thanksgiving dinner this holiday thanks to volunteers at a church in High Point.
WFMY News 2's Faith Abubey helped volunteers package meals for those in need this week. Williams Memorial CME Church volunteers packed 7,000 dinners for families in need Monday night.
Each month this year, church members were asked to bring different food items to contribute. Some of the items they collected were green beans, corn, yams, stuffing, and canned cranberry sauce.
Each box feeds a family of five. The meals can be picked up at the church Tuesday starting at 1 p.m.
