GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The typhoon may be on the other side of the world, but it still hits home for some Triad residents.
At Jesus Our Victory Family Worship Center International, a multi-cultural worship service was held Sunday morning to pray for the thousands who have died as a result of Typhoon Haiyan.
Members of the church told WFMY News 2 they have family members in the Philippines whose homes were damaged by the typhoon's strong winds. Luckily, their family members were ok.
The service consisted of a message from the Bishop challenging members to not only keep those impacted in their thoughts, but to think on how they can outreach.
