ASHEBORO, N.C. -- Two words: food and shopping! You're sold, right? You can do both at the auction and barbecue fundraiser to benefit Hospice of Randolph County.
David Caughron joined WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain Thursday on the Good Morning Show to talk about the event.
"All throughout the year we offer so many support services that are open to the community, not just our hospice patients or their families," said Caughron. "We want to be able to offer as many programs as possible to anyone in need. And fundraisers like this help us do that."
Caughron showed off some of the items that will be auctioned off at the event Saturday, November 2, 2013.
"Who doesn't know the King's hat? Not only did Richard Petty sign it but his long-time crew chief Dale Inman signed it so you have two NASCAR signatures on it."
The auction also features pieces from 90 different Randolph County potters.
The Hospice of Randolph County's 28th Annual Auction and Barbecue fundraiser is on Saturday, November 2nd at Southwest Randolph High School in Asheboro. The barbecue dinner and silent auction is from 3:30 to 6:30pm. Plates are $8 per person and tickets are available at the door. For more information call 336-672-9300
