Raleigh -- The International Bluegrass Festival and Awards show happened for the first time this year, in North Carolina. And some of the world's best pickers took over downtown Raleigh whether they were part of the show or not.
Among the recognizable stars, actor Steve Martin. There was also a special tribute to North Carolina's Earl Scruggs who's picking style became a standard for the genre.
Organizers say with visitors in town from around the world the event could generate between five and ten million dollars for the region.
