Greensboro, NC -- We all want to help someone in need, but sometimes, we need a little inspiration.
Well, here's some inspiration from a 13-year-old girl.
Iyuana Simmons collected bags of snacks, books and all sorts of other items for kids in the Cone Health pediatric unit.
She delivered the bags to the kids Friday afternoon. Iyuana was in the unit herself just a few years ago.
"I have a good heart," she said. "It's because my family has a good heart. And I will not stop at nothing to give these bags to these children."
Iyuana and members of the Hayes-Taylor YMCA gave out the bags as part of the "Caring Hands" program, which Iyuana started.
The bag giveaway was made possible, in part, by a nearly $2,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. Iyuana helped play a major role in helping the organization get the grant.
