Clemmons, NC -- A group of runners made an interesting fashion statement for a good cause Saturday morning.

Men ran in the Race to D'feet Hunger to raise money for the Clemmons Food Pantry, but that wasn't their only cause Saturday.

The group, dubbed the "Diaper Dudes," wore diapers during the Diaper Dude 5K Challenge. It raised money for the Piedmont Diaper Banker and awareness about the need for more diapers throughout the community.

The Piedmont Diaper Bank says a study by Huggies shows 1 in 3 mothers have problems buying diapers for their babies. And, the group says thats why events, like Saturday's 5K, are important.

The Diaper Bank provides families in need with diapers. It reaches out to families in Guilford, Forsyth, Davie, Davidson, Surry, Stokes and Yadkin Counties.

Here is a video from the event, thanks to Valerie Glass with the Piedmont Diaper Bank.
