Greensboro, N.C. -- North Carolina agriculture is a $77 billion industry in our state. Everyday students prepare to enter into this field of work thanks to North Carolina A&T State University.
On Friday, Senator Kay Hagan announced the University will receive $149,265 grant to train 21st century technologically-savvy agricultural professionals. It's made possible thanks to a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The agriculture industry in North Carolina employs about 20 percent of all workers in the state.
