High Point, NC -- A gas station chain is teaming up with a local veteran to raise money and awareness for a special cause.

Silver-star recipient Staff Sgt. Tommy Rieman is traveling across the state in a 2009 Mullis "Salute Our Troops" Dragster to raise money and awareness for several military organizations.

Rieman has been traveling to Kangaroo Express gas stations across the state all summer for the campaign.

This is the third year of the event. Over the past two summers, the program has raised more than $5.7 million for the USO of North Carolina, Fisher House Foundation, Patriot Foundation, the Soldiers and Airmen Assistance Fund in North Carolina, and the United States Veterans Corps.

Rieman will make another stop in our around Sunday. If you'd like to meet him and give to the campaign, head to the Kangaroo Express on Huffman Mill Road in Burlington. He'll be there from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
