Greensboro, NC-- Next week all schools in the North Carolina school system will be back for the 2013-2014 school year. This means the big yellow buses will be on the road and drivers should use extra caution in their neighborhood and school zones.
For students, looking good is everything for the first day. From the new clothes to new school supplies. The Greensboro Police Department once again have stepped in to help some students have both, a new look and a new book bag.
The "Stylin' with a Bag" back to school event was Monday in Claremont Homes and Laurel Oaks Communities. Students got free haircuts, which were provided by 15 different Barbers and Stylists. They also receive new book bags, that were provided by VF Corporation.
In additional, the young men received some advice and words of encouragement. The event was part of Greensboro Police and community members partnership to connect are youths with role models.
