Greensboro, N.C. -- Some students with the Guilford County Schools System will head back to class with tablet computers.
The school district received a $30 million federal grant for the devices.
Administrators plan to put tablets in the hands of each of the 17,000 middle school students in the district as textbooks are phased out.
Robin Britt with the school district spoke with WFMY News 2 about students getting the new devices.
He also talked about what the school district is doing to handle the new technology and how it plans to protect the personal information of each student.
