July 4th Fireworks Displays Across The Triad

Greensboro, NC --  Looking for a fun night of watching fireworks and celebrating Independence Day? WFMY News 2 has your list of July 4th celebrations and fireworks displays.

Wednesday, July 3rd

July 3rd In The Park - Independence Day Celebration: Burlington City Park • 1333 Overbrook Road, Burlington, amusement park rides open at 10am. July 3rd festivities are from 6pm to 10pm. Fireworks are planned for 9:30pm.

Be The First To Celebrate The 4th!: The Town of Walnut Cove and several organizations will host a concert featuring the 44th Army Band with fireworks to follow. The concert begins at 7pm at Lion's Park in Walnut Cove.

Thursday, July 4th

Fun Fourth Festival: Annual Independence Day Parade at 9:30am with a street festival following. News & Record Pop Concert and Fun Fourth Fireworks Finale from 7:30pm to 10pm at the White Oak Amphitheatre at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex gate opens at 5:30pm.

Guilford Courthouse National Military Park: Guilford Courthouse Fife & Drum Corps will perform at 12:45pm followed by a commemorative ceremony at the Signer's Monument and Grave. Period artillery and small arms demonstrations will take place from 1:30 to 3pm at the site of Greene Monument. Activities will run from 10am until 4pm on July 4th.

Downtown Mt. Airy 4th of July Celebration: Festivities being in the downtown area at 10am and includes a parade at 11am followed by a pie eating contest. The celebration continues at Veterans Memorial Park beginning at 5pm with live music by The Dennis Tolbert Band at 6:30pm followed by fireworks at dark.

Military Appreciation Day: Adventure Land at 1600 S. Stratford Rd., Winston-Salem is hosting Military Appreciation Day. All active and retired military will receive a free three-attraction quest pass. Military family members receive $5 off their quest passes as well. Non-military can also enjoy a three-attraction special. Token specials will be good from July 4th through July 7th.

Kernersville: Kernersville will host a concert featuring Motown music by The Legacy. The concert will start at 6:30pm with fireworks to follow at 9:15pm.  The event will be held at Kernersville Elementary School, 512 W. Mountain St., Kernersville

Winston-Salem City Pools: City Pools are holding "Red, White, and/or Blue" event. Patrons can get into the city pools for $1 over the July 4th weekend if they come wearing patriotic colors. The offer is good from July 4th until July 7th.

Sky Dancer Fireworks Show at Wet'N Wild: Show begins at 9:15pm and is included in your park admission.

Uncle Sam Jam: Oak Hollow Festival Park, 1841 Eastchester Drive in High Point. Live music by Rough Draft from 5pm to 7pm and country music artist Parmalee from 7:30 to 9:45pm with fireworks to follow. There is a $10 per car load fireworks fee.

Winston-Salem Dash - Game begins at 7pm, fireworks right after the game at BB&T Ballpark. Also, on Friday, July 5, fireworks will start after the game at BB&T Ballpark.

18th Annual July 4th Fun Parade: The parade begins at 9:30am from the parking lot of Fair Funeral Home in Eden. Everyone is welcome to take part in the parade just wear your red, white and blue.

44th Annual Eden Kiwanis Ole Fashioned 4th of July: The grounds open at 2pm with music by The Bullet Band, Trouble Highway and The Holiday Band. Fireworks should kick off around 10pm. Admission is free.

4th Of July Fireworks Show In King: The City of King will host fireworks at dusk (around 9pm) and can be viewed from several locations around town. Parking is available on the upper parking lot of the King Recreation Acres (use the White Rd. entrance), King Public Library, Central Park Amphitheater and the Carl Calloway American Legion Post #290.

Annual Faith Fourth Celebration: The Annual Faith Fourth Celebration in Faith, NC wraps up on Thursday with a 10am parade, games, races, a watermelon-eating contest and egg toss. Entertainment includes wrestling at 9pm and ends with fireworks at 10:30pm.

Annual 4th Of July Hot Dog Day: Walkertown is celebrating with their Annual Town of Walkertown Hot Dog Day. They will have music, Moon Bouncers, free hot dogs, hamburger and fries.

4 Free Movies On The 4th of July: Marketplace Cinemas at 2095 Peters Creek Parkway in Winston-Salem will show four free movies to celebrate Independence Day. "Hotel Transylvania" will run at 1pm, "Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs" at 3pm, "Muppets From Space" at 5pm and "The Smurfs" at 7:30pm. Admission is free and seating is first come, first served.

Friday, July 5th

Independence Day Celebration: The City of Reidsville will host an Independence Day celebration at Lake Reidsville with the gates opening at 4pm. The celebration will include music by The Breakfast Club and The Posse, carnival games, rides , bounce houses, food and novelty vendors. Fireworks will start around 10pm. The cost is $5 per car or $2 per walk-up.

Saturday, July 6th

Liberty July Celebration: Downtown Liberty will celebrate the Independence Holiday with a street festival from 11am to 9pm. The celebration will end with a fireworks display at 9:15pm.

Southeast Old Threshers' Reunion: Denton Farm Park is located at 1072 Cranford Rd. in Denton. Celebrate the holiday with tractors and lots of them. The reunion starts July 2nd and goes through July 6th. Each day has different events to go see from lawn mower pulls, super tractor pulls to horse pulls. The reunion ends the week with fireworks on July 6th at 9pm. Admission is $14 for adults, $6 for 12 and under, and preschool is free.
