Greensboro, NC-- On a Thursday night where can you shop for food and hear good music? How about downtown Greensboro? If you're looking for fresh food and don't want the hassle of a grocery story, you'll love this new market.
Every third Thursday at 5 p.m., Greensboro will host 'City Market' through Oct. 17. The City Market is at the Railyard at South End, which is at the end of Barnhardt Street and beside the tracks in the 500 block of South Elm. Hours are 5 p.m.-9 p.m.
Action Greensboro says it expects there to be at least 50 booths with fresh produce, artisan goods, and food for sampling at the event. There will also be demonstrations and hands-on activities.
The theme of the first City Market is "Homebrew," and yes, there will be adult beverages, such as beer and wine.
