Asheboro, NC -- It's that time of year again - graduation season! But, a graduation in Asheboro Wednesday involved a different type of student.
The "New Leash on Life" program graduated three new dogs, ready to go home with new owners. Those owners just happened to be prison inmates.
The program pairs adoptable dogs with Randolph County prison inmates in a relationship that helps both parties grow.
All three dogs graduated tonight and finally got to go home with their new owners.
