Raleigh, NC-- Retiring from work is a freedom all its own for most workers. Being retired and winning the lottery adds another layer of enjoyment.
So imagine the 'to do list' William Worley, a retired truck driver from Greensboro, made after learning he won $150,000 playing a NC Education Lottery scratch-off game.
Worley said the two things he plan to do are: pay off his mortgage, pay off his car loan and save for the future.
"You don't realize how good you can sleep when you know you can pay off your house," Worley told lottery officials. "This makes me a lot more comfortable."
After paying the tax man, Worley collected a cool $102,001. He purchased the lucky $5 Hot Streak ticket at the Quick Shop Gas Stop on High Point Road in Greensboro
