HIGH POINT - It's a stereotype many of us know: Cops hanging out at the donut shop.  It's exactly where you can find High Point officers this weekend, but it's not what you think.

Officers hung out on the rooftop to raise money for Special Olympics this weekend.

It's the 13th Annual Cops on Doughnut Shops program.  This is a nationwide fundraiser that originated at the High Point Krispy Kreme.

High Point police officers are still counting all the money, but they say they've raised more than $7,000 for Special Olympics!

Customers who donated $5 or more received a complimentary treat from Krispy Kreme.  Generous corporations, organizations, or individuals donating $1,000 or more received a complimentary doughnut party.
