Winston-Salem, NC -- Players from the Winston-Salem Dash traded in their gloves for hammers Saturday to build homes for local families in need.
The Dash partnered with Lowe's Home Improvement and Habitat for Humanity of Forsyth County in the annual Community Build in five neighborhoods.
Players and team personnel worked with volunteers to build the houses at two locations in Winston-Salem--Willow Oak Way and Roosevelt Street.
Volunteers built and restored homes, fixed floors, installed trusses and shingles, as well as many other things, during the day's builds.
The Dash will recognize everyone's hard work during their home game July 27. The team will show a special video dedicated to this year's Community Build.
