McLeansville, NC -- In so many cases, the battle against cancer isn't the only fight for patients--many of them also battle with medical expenses.

A local group is coming together Sunday to help one local woman with cancer pay her bills.

Friends and family of Etta Cobb are hosting a Chicken Dinner Fundraiser at McLeansville Fire Dept. No. 47 Sunday. The proceeds from the event will go to Cobb to help her and her family pay medical bills.

If you'd like to help their cause, head out to the fire station from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Plates are $7 and include fried chicken, green beans, mash potatoes, a roll and a drink. If you can't stay for the whole event, organizers say you can still purchase a to-go plate.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle at the event.

To donate to Cobb and her family, you can bring cash or a check payable to "Etta Cobb." And, if you can't make it to the event, you can also mail donations to:
