Thomasville, NC -- Too many children go missing each year, and a local group says it vows to remember lost children and help renew efforts to reunite them with their families.
The Thomasville Housing Authority hosted its 4th Annual Take 25 Child Safety Campaign Thursday.
Families came together to commemorate and raise awareness for National Missing Children's Day.
The free event had music, a balloon release and words from special guest speaker Christie Jarrel, a certified substance abuse counselor.
Keith Grandberry, President and CEO of the Winston-Salem Urban was the event's keynote speaker.
Organizers hope this event reminds people of all the missing children cases around us and compels them to do something about the problem.
