Greensboro, NC -- Saturday night wrapped up an exciting two-day period for one local boy battling leukemia.
Johnny Van Kemp was diagnosed with leukemia a year ago, and since then, his community has stepped up to support him.
Friday night, Johnny's friends and family met at Northern Guilford Middle School to run a 5K race as the group celebrated his fight to get back to full health.

And Saturday, Johnny was the center of attention at the start of the Greensboro Grasshoppers' game, where he threw out the first pitch.
The crowd roared as Johnny proved nothing can slow him down.
