Greensboro, NC-- In case you haven't checked the calendar or seen any of the ads promoting gift ideas, Sunday, May 12 is Mother's Day.
For the past couple of weeks, Mother's Day ideas have been getting more frequent in television advertising and, yes, news stories.
History of Mother's Day
Regardless of what gift you give Mom, there's nothing like a beautiful plant or some flowers. These are also gifts that give twice because some local plant sales benefit charities.
The annual Shriners Club Plant Sale started Wednesday and goes through Saturday. You can purchase yours at three locations:
- Greensboro at the Shriners Club - 5010 High Point Road
- Oak Ridge at: Highway 68 & Oak Ridge Rd (Highway 150)
- Archdale: On Main Street at the Highway 62 Intersection
