Kernersville, NC -- A local gym wants to help those battling cancer stay fit, thanks to inspiration from one of the gym's most loyal members.
BreAnne Jones, owner of Triangle Fitness in Kernersville, says Amy Elliott, who has been battling cancer since 2008, is an inspiration to her and her gym.
Because of Elliott, Jones and Triangle Fitness are offering free memberships to people battling cancer, as long as they have written permission from a doctor.
The idea came from Elliott who worked out at Triangle Fitness--during her cancer treatments--whenever she felt up to the task.
Triangle Fitness is still developing the program, but you can talk to Jones and her staff about getting involved.
For more information on this program, contact BreAnne Jones at (336) 993-7247. Triangle Fitness is also selling t-shirts for $15 a piece, and all profits from shirt sales will go toward workshops and other training for people in the program.
