High Point, NC -- Imagine waking up in a hospital and hearing a doctor say, you may never walk again. Those were the words heard by Seth Barwick after a car accident that left him paralyzed.
It was those same words that also motivated him to prove doctors wrong.
Wednesday night at a baseball game between Duke and High Point University in High Point, Seth Barwick who was an avid baseball player before he was paralyzed, got to take part in the sport he loves, once again.
Seth threw out the first pitch to cheers from the crowd.
In 2006, Seth went from playing baseball to spending the next six years in a wheelchair-- in a seat he had no intentions of spending a lifetime in.
WFMY News 2 has followed Seth on his journey to get out of his wheelchair and walk. Seth went through numerous rehab sessions paid for with fundraisers and donations. WFMY News 2 was there when he took his first steps in October 2012.
