Greensboro, NC -- Mobile Meals is a program that really delivers making sure seniors who can't prepare meals for themselves get a warm meal.
On Tuesday, volunteers were once again at it in Greensboro making their rounds. But there was a surprise visitor handing out meals, Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins. The mayor helped deliver meals all part of the Mayors Day of Recognition for National Service.
Mobile Meals helps 1,600 seniors every year.
High Point Mayor Bernita Sims recognized the impact of national service participants in AmeriCorps and Senior Corps programs. Volunteers were recognized in a ceremony at city hall.
