Greensboro, NC -- The Triad is busy celebrating the Easter holiday with early egg hunts and cross walks.
Good Friday marked a time for Christians to think about what the day means for them spiritually and the reason for Easter. Churches in the Stokesdale are hosted a Cross Walk. Walkers carried the cross through the Stokesdale area while. Crowds watched as the volunteers stepped forward with the Cross. They also paused to read scriptures and pray along the way.
The day also marked a sunny one to hunt well, Easter eggs. The High Point Parks and Recreation hosted an Easter Egg Hunt and Parade. Families gather at Washington Terrace Park on Gordon Street to take part in the event. Children had fun meeting the Easter bunny. They also got to take part in an egg coloring contest. But the best part for kids the hunt to find all those eggs!
