Greensboro, NC -- Two local cancer survivors got a special gift from a group of volunteers Saturday in Greensboro.
Housing Greensboro, a local non-profit organization, repaired and rehabilitated homes for cancer survivors Lenora Hill and Flauie Towns of Greensboro.
The group spent the past two days replacing roofs, fixing doors, repairing faucets, installing energy efficiency tools and making the homes warmer, drier and safer for Hill and Towns.
Housing Greensboro worked with the Piedmont Triad Apartment Association on the projects. It was all part of the 5th annual Labor of Love event that allows volunteers give back to members of their community.
