Events To Honor, Celebrate Easter Across The Triad

There are plenty of Easter events taking place all across the Triad. We've got a list of hopping events.

Worship Services:

Winston-Salem
-- Ardmore Moravian Church to hold Holy Week services from March 24 - March 31 Church located at 2013 W. Academy St.                                                                                                   
-- On Friday, March 29, a Crucifixion Service will be held at 2:15 p.m. and a Good Friday Service of music and family-style Lovefeast will be held at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
-- On Saturday, March 30 the congregation will gather at the church at 8:30 a.m. to travel together to God's Acre to prepare graves for the Easter Sunrise Service in Old Salem.
-- Sunday, March 31: Easter Sunday Sunrise At Old Salem, starts at 6:30am in front of Home Moravian Church. That's located in the corner of Church and Academy Streets.
-- An Easter Worship Service will be held March 31 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary of the church. For more information, call 723-3444.

Graham
-- Easter Sunrise Service - 7:30am - Historic Providence Christian Church and Providence Memorial Cemetery, located at 819 North Main St in Graham.

Eden                                                                                               
11am--March 31- Resurrection Sunday & Holy Communion 11am. All events are free and will take place at Monument of Faith Ministries 319 North Henry St. in Eden. For more information call 336-589-8120.

Davidson Co
Sunday March 31, 10am- The River Church of Arcadia is holding a special Easter service at North Davidson High School. Children can worship in our kid-friendly RiverKidz service.

Egg Hunts
Friday, March 29: Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt. Burlington. Burlington Recreation & Parks presents the annual Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt. Bring your Easter baskets and enough room to store eggs that glow in the dark. Kids can stick around and get a picture with the Easter Bunny. Ages 2-5. 6 p.m. Mayco Bigelow Community Center, 849 Sharpe Road, Burlington. 336-222-5138.

Friday, March 29- Eden, NC--Easter Youth Extravaganza-7 p.m.
--11am-Saturday, March 30- Community Cookout and Easter Egg Hunt - 11 a.m.

Friday, March 29 - 7:15pm- Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt / First Presbyterian Church 582 Southwood Drive Eden, NC. Easter Egg Hunt, Crafts and the story of the resurrection. Bring your Easter basket and a flashlight. All are invited.

Friday, March 29 in High Point -- Easter Egg Hunt and Parade. High Point Parks & Recreation will host an Easter Egg Hunt and Parade at Washington Terrace Park (101 Gordon Street). Program includes a parade at 10 a.m. and egg hunts for children ages 2-10. Hunt times are 11 a.m. for 2-3 years, 11:30 a.m. for 4-5 years, 12:00 p.m. for 6-7 years and 12;30 p.m. for ages 8-10. Other activities include children's games, inflatables, a trackless train ride, costumed characters and more. All activities are free. Food and drinks available for purchase. 336-883-8599. 

Saturday, March 30: 18th Annual Easter Egg Festival presented by 107.5 KZL, Piedmont Triad Farmer's Market. Free entertainment and activities for children of all ages, appearances by various mascots, magic shows, an egg hunt and the Easter Bunny. 1-4 p.m. The egg hunt is divided up by ages: Ages 2-3, 3 p.m.; Ages 4-6, 3:20 p.m.; Ages 7-10, 3:40 p.m. Bring your own Easter baskets. Piedmont Triad Farmer's Market, located off Sandy Ridge Road, exit 208 off Interstate 40. Greensboro.

Saturday, March 30 - Climax, NC (Guilford County)-- Gate City Transportation, Inc., is sponsoring their 5th Annual Easter Egg Run event from 1 -4p.m. at 6407 Monnett Road in Climax, NC. Children will have the opportunity to participate in the ultimate Easter egg hunt. The patch will also be equipped with a petting zoo, an Easter egg decorating station, face painting, pony rides, and much more! For more information call: 310-999-1248.

Saturday, March 30- Adventure Landing hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunts and Charity Raffles on Saturday. The hunts begin at 9am and again at 11am. Adventure Landing is located at 1600 S. Stratford Road, Winston Salem, NC. *Proceeds benefit Shriners Hospital.

Burlington City Park Easter Egg Hunt. Burlington Recreation & Parks invites families to the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the park. All hunts start at 10 a.m. Ages 2-4 will hunt on the grass in front of the Jimmy Combs stage. Ages 5-2 will hunt on Field #1. Only children are allowed in the hunt areas. Parents need to stay out of the hunt area in the designated spectator areas. The Amusement Park will open immediately following the end of the Easter Egg Hunt. Family Easter Fling, Winston-Salem. Free event. Crafts, games, egg hunts divided into age groups (starting at 11 a.m.) and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. Sponsored by City of Winston-Salem Recreation & Parks. 10 a.m.-noon. Dixie Classic Fairgrounds - clock tower. Rain site at Education Building. Enter at Gate 5 off Deacon Blvd., Winston-Salem.

New Philadelphia Moravian Easter Egg Hunt and Carnival, Winston-Salem. For all ages. Free. 10 a.m.-noon. Games, crafts, cake walk and hot dog lunch (proceeds from lunch benefit youth missions projects). New Philadelphia Moravian Church, 4440 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem.

North Park Easter Egg Hunt, Burlington. See the Easter Bunny at the Burlington Recreation & Parks egg hunt. Ages: 2-5, 6-9, 10-14, 15-Adults. Free. 10 a.m. North Park, 849 Sharpe Road, Burlington. 336-222-5138.

Old Salem Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Winston-Salem. A fun-filled morning searching for Easter Eggs in Old Salem's beautiful historic district. $10-$21. All-in-One admission ticket (ticket is required for parent and child for participation, children under 6 are admitted for free). 10:30 a.m. 336-721-7300.

Saturday, March 30- Egg-Stravaganza at the NC Zoo-- Zookeepers will place papier-mâché eggs, made by zoo volunteers and filled with appropriate food treats, in some of the animal exhibits, along with other enrichment items. The schedule includes: gorillas, 9:30 a.m.; ocelots, 9:30 a.m.; Elephants, 10 a.m.; cougar 10 a.m.; Red River hogs 11 a.m.; seals, 11:30 a.m.; seabirds 11:30 a.m.; black bears 11:45 a.m.; grizzly bears 1:15 p.m.; Chimpanzees, 2 p.m.; baboons 2 p.m.; lemurs 2:30 p.m.; coati & ringtails, 2:30 p.m. In addition a special display of bird eggs will be available in the R.J. Reynolds Forest Aviary Aviary from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.
